The space

The cozy room in a picturesque mountain village in north Central NH offers a quiet respite for a weekend, a week, a month, or longer-term residency. Tamworth, New Hampshire has spectacular mountain scenery; quaint shops; winter and summer outdoor activities; a library within walking distance; and easy access to nearby towns and villages in the Lakes Region and White Mountains. The village of Tamworth has several nice shops offering coffee, breakfast and lunch, ice cream and pastries as well as gifts, books, and supplies.

The Barnstormers Theater, the oldest summer stock playhouse in the country, is located in the heart of the village and offers plays and concerts throughout the year. In July and August, actors and directors can be heard rehearsing lines in the restored barn beside the Swift River or enjoying conversation on the deck of the nearby cafe. North Conway, just twenty minutes north, is a small city teeming with fashionable shops, ski slopes nearby, scenic train rides, and much more.

The newly renovated, fully furnished room features an outside private entrance, casement windows overlooking a small cottage and woodlands, and adjoining bathroom/utility room (with washer and dryer). The bathroom is exclusively for the guests; the washer and dryer are shared with the host. If staying a week or longer, the kitchen may be shared with the host as well. WIFI, A/C, and electric heat are provided. The spacious yard features gardens and private spaces outside for reading or relaxing during the warm months. Guest fees are $72/night. $216/weekend (Friday-Sunday night), $350/week, and $750/month.

Thanks for being such a wonderful host! We enjoyed our time in the White Mountains as well as the apples you gave us. I hope you enjoy the RadioLab podcast about Father K!

It is such an interesting podcast, Liam! Thank you and Shanfan for mentioning it and telling me where to find it. It is such a fascinating story and made me feel 'at home' again in Brooklyn!

We were in town for a wedding, so didn't spend much time at Elizabeth's cottage. However, it provided exactly what we needed--convenient location for the festivities, hassle-free check-in/out, a friendly host, and a bed to crash in. Would certainly recommend.

We had a lovely time at Elizabeth's! She was so welcoming and kind and her little guest cottage is cute and just big enough for a weekend away. It was nice to stay in a relaxing and quiet place. Good location just up the street from Main Street, Tamworth - we were lucky enough to stumble upon the local farmer's market and of course, don't miss the Tamworth Lyceum café!

Elizabeth was an amazing and accommodating host. Her cabin is small, but cozy and very clean. I highly recommend this airbnb.

I am a philosophy professor at a nearby university and have lived in my country house in Tamworth for 14 years. I love gardening and have many established trees, vines, shrubs, and flower beds. I am also an avid nature photographer. The peaceful and beautiful environment of a mountain village in New England greatly appeals to me in all seasons, and I enjoy sharing the house with others who appreciate the area.
