We had a great weekend in chapel view. Despite us arriving quite late we had a warm welcome from Lorraine, who had the stove lit for us, and left some supplies in the kitchen, including some homemade apple jelly. Yum yum. The cottage is perfectly located, with a very short walk into the centre of Thomastown. Beds were really comfortable, both ensuite. I must note that the house was incredibly clean. Thank you both.

Ian, thanks a mil for taking the time and for the kind words. Next time we'll get to chat and you can see our plans for world domination. Would love another chance to make a positive impression on the baby. Thanks again to you both. Lorraine

The cottage is beautiful, in a secluded setting in Thomastown. Great if you want to get away from it all. Very well appointed and furnished, and Lorraine looked after us very well. Highly recommended.

Lorraine's cottage is comfy and homely, perfect for a couples and families. Lorraine welcomed us at the gate and took us through the cottage, she also made some recommendations for pubs, cafes and shops in town. Lorraine left us to ourselves but was available via text and email to answer any questions and provide suggestions for things to do. While the location was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding in the neighbouring town, the town is very quiet. There are lots of places to get some breakfast and lunch, however, we found it difficult to get a decent dinner in town; there are many pubs but none seem to serve dinner. Kilkenny city is only a 20 minute drive away and there are many restaurants and shops, as well as Kilkenny castle, which is a must do! While there is public transport near by, we found it very beneficial to rent a car while in Ireland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lorraine's and would recommend it to anyone!
