Close to Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, Ovens River, Myrtleford, Bright, ski resorts, family-friendly activities, wineries, the newly renovated Happy Valley & Punka Pubs & other amazing place to eat! You’ll love my place because of the privacy, convenience to the Rail Trail, the extensive gardens & orchard with seasonal fruit provided for you!

Perfect for couples, solo travellers, business trips.

Well behaved pets are allowed by request - please book pets in as an extra guest.

Guest access

You have access to everything other than the main house. One acre of garden and orchard with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the flowers, views and even visits from Rosellas and Kookaburras.

The front of the property is fenced in to keep Sooty - the very friendly shitzu x miniature poodle, off the driveway - but you are welcome to enjoy this part of the garden as well.

Interaction with guests

I'm usually available to assist you weekdays between 5pm and 10pm and on weekends - I'm usually working somewhere on the property! And can be contacted by text message if you need help at other times.

Other things to note

This is a rural property near bushland and during warmer months you need to be aware of the possibility of snakes being around on the property and the Rail Trail.

The property is strictly non-smoking inside and out due to bushfire danger and owners preference. A $100 fine will be charge for anyone smoking anywhere on the property.

Please note that there is a minimum 3 night stay for any long weekend and 4 nights during Melbourne Cup.

Very neat and tidy cottage with all the amenities required. Right on the rail trail and close to both Myrtleford and Bright, so plenty to do. Lots of space for kids to play. Vicki is a great host, putting the heater on before we arrived and leaving plenty of fresh breakfast provisions for our quick getaway the next morning. Would recommend.

This dog-friendly accommodation is in a beautiful setting, at the base of a forested hill and right across the road from the rail trail, not far out of Bright and Myrtleford. The cottage was very clean, cosy and had a feeling of spaciousness. Good size undercover carport for our car and bikes. Outside garden was lovely, with chooks (including brand new Easter baby chicks) and friendly small dog, Sooty, adding charm and interest for our small dog. Big bathroom and tidy kitchen suited our needs. Happy Valley pub within short cycling distance provided a great dining out option. Host Vicki was friendly and informative. We would definitely visit again. Amanda and Kevin, Canberra.
