The house is steeped in history being over 100 years old and was originally used as the local post office. It is located just outside Cork city on the N22 the main road towards Macroom/ Killarney. It is an ideal location to explore some of Cork city/ Blarney castle (20mins) + Farran Woods (5mins) The world famous Gereagh nature reserve (15) min / Killarney (40) min / The house is perfect to explore the beautiful Lee valley is (10) minutes with water sports etc

This is a fantastic cottage. We were looking for a central hub to visit West Cork and Fota Island. The décor in the house is very nice, the house is very clean, and as someone who hasn’t stayed in a cottage before, I felt like I was in the film “The Holiday”. You will not regret…

We were down at the national rowing championships for 3 days, and its really close to the location about 4km which was very handy. Marlene's place is lovely and clean and very cosy. Would recommend to stay here!

Needed somewhere to stay on short notice and Marlene was very accommodating and quick to respond. The house was nice and had a good sleep which is all we wanted.
