Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! The hospitality, charm, quiet and comfort were abundant. The fireplace was perfect after a night at the orchestra. I raved about the stove! We even had a deer visitor one morning to keep us company. The perfect get away.

Response from Lisa:
So glad you enjoyed your stay. Glad you enjoyed the 1950's stove and appreciated it's charm. We do have one deer, in particular, that likes to visit quite often. He has been showing up for several months and now looks much healthier than he did at first sight when he was very young.

This house is very charming and comfortable! It’s perfect for a couple or a couple with a child or two! We had a wonderful time and were able to relax and go hiking in the forest! We also did a campfire one evening under the stars! The House was spotless and the complimentary coffee was appreciated! We both loved the old stove! I would stay here again thanks for having us! Thank you Ken and Storm. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay, and admired the stove. I am a big fan of vintage stoves and have a red 1950s Chambers at my home in Old Louisville. You are welcome back anytime!

The cottage was great! Lisa provided everything we needed for our stay and more. Check in was a breeze and communication with Lisa was easy. The cottage was clean. You can smell the residual smoke smell from the fireplace, but it is not overwhelming. Overall I would recommend the cottage to those looking for a quiet getaway. An added bonus was that our daughter spent hours playing pretend games with the cool skeleton key!!!

Lisa and Billy, married for 29 years, recently retired Engineers. We live in a 100+ year old house in Old Louisville, the largest historic neighborhood in the US. We love the country and nature so we bought the "little house" as we call it, when our son was 8 years old in 1999. We have spent many weekends there, and it is so peaceful and a nice change from city life. Lisa likes to cook and Billy is her #1 helper. We enjoy wine and dancing. We also love the arts, especially theater and have a preference for ethnic food. We have 4 dogs: 2 Australian Shepherds, a Pug Mix, a Lapso Apso mix and a cat...a lot to handle.
We use to be avid runners but after many injuries, that has been difficult to continue, so we love hiking in the woods. We are not quite in the retirement mode as we are currently catching up with chores and repairs that have been neglected the last few years. We plan on having more fun in the future. For now we live pretty simply and try and make the best of what we have..."Want Not".
