Perfect for couples or solo adventurers, there is no better village in Istria to use as your home base when exploring other hilltop towns, Pula, Rovinj, Porec and spend your afternoon wine tasting at local vineyards. Brtonigla is home to some of the best restaurants in the region and you can walk there from my place! Spend your mornings making coffee in the flat, but then make sure to go to the main square grabbing a pastry on the way to see the local life.
The flat has everything you need. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer and an espresso maker (help yourself). I also have a french press, all the dishes, silverware, knives- anything you might need!
If you are unfamiliar with Celsius vs Fahrenheit, I have a cheat sheet for those looking to cook. You will find everything in the notebook on the counter.
There is no TV at the flat, but this is because in the village and your time in Istria- it really is not needed! Guests should enjoy being outdoors and exploring!
I do have some clothes and shoes at the flat in the closet. You have access to any towels you might need - both shower and beach towels. When you are finished with the towels just throw in the laundry bag on the back of the door or on the floor when you leave.
You have access to the entire space.
Interaction with guests
I will not be there during your stay, but send me a message if you have any problems as there is someone in the village ready to help if you need something. Contact name and # are in the binder in the flat.
Other things to note
Make sure the hot water heater is turned on before you take a shower- the switch is behind the bathroom door. If you turn it on 10-15 minutes beforehand you will have hot water. Warning to be careful with the temperature. Unlike in the USA, there is not a control that prevents the water from getting too hot, so be careful not to turn it too hot so you don't burn yourself. Most showers in Europe seem to be like this.
If the shades are not open in the bedroom, just walk around to the outside to open them.
- Smoking is okay outside, just not inside.
I'm a Travel TV producer/host who fell in love with Croatia and decided to make it my second home. For me, traveling has become my lifestyle and I am on the road about 9 months a year. I love to meet people, find adventure, eat delicious food and be outdoors!
