I am single and very easy going. I love music, particularly "world music", read The NY Times and The Atlantic regularly, and am having fun with Netflix. I am (or at least was) a great world traveler. I've stayed in more hostels than you can count. In fact one day I'd like to run my own hostel in some enchanted corner of the world. Airbnb is my " personal hotel/luxury hostel." Virtually all my traveling was done by bicycle between 14 and 17 miles per hour. Leaving the Alps from Southern Switzerland (St. Moritz) into Northern Italy (Milan), a little faster. OK, a LOT faster.

During your stay
My job is to help you see as much of the best parts of the city possible in whatever time you have. So for some guests, that means helping them with "almost everything" as far as what they see and do. For others, they may say, "We want to see "this" and I will suggest two or three things they may not have considered what is on the way or on the way back. I may also suggest specific things to see and do when they are "there." Or I can keep entirely out of your way, if you prefer. This rarely happens, but if you have perhaps been to LA before and already "know everything", then enjoy my home. Occasionally, especially for those too young to rent a car, I even drive people places that cannot be seen or reached by bus or train. I've gone out to dinner with guests and we've had big barbeques in my back yard. Once I took a visitor all the way to Joshua Tree National Park and showed her my favorite trails to hike. But for extensive things like that, I have to charge you.
