The house is close to George Washington National Forest, Hiking, Biking, Rock Climbing, wildlife (deer, turkeys, sometimes bear!), the pond is literally out the window with fish. You’ll love the large FIREPLACE, the semi-stocked LOG BAR, the view of the pond, the pine forests you can walk through, the wildlife, the views, the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

The space

-Semi-stocked LOG BAR where you can craft a cocktail by the fireplace.

-You can also sit in the gazebo and enjoy the breeze on a nice day.

This is a great place to stay. It was very clean and neat. We were there for a weekend of sub zero temperatures in the Fort Valley and were delighted to find an excellent hot shower and heating. The decor is consistent with a hunting cabin - with a few nice details (like lighting) that added to charm. It was perfect for fall walks and cycling and we loved it. Looking forward to future visits.

This was a delightful space for a gathering of friends. The open space allowed for easy use and socializing. The large kitchen made food preparation very easy. The fireplace was just beautiful and very lovely since the weather was chilly and wet. Sadly that meant we could not make much use of the beautiful outdoor spaces. One sleeping area being in a separate building allowed for undisturbed rest for those who were tired while the others could socialize without worry.

If you are looking for a place to escape from everything and just commune with nature then this is the place for you. Very private & quite. the pond is full of fish and crystal clear. There is little cell phone service- so be prepared to unplug from the rest of the world. The house is very cozy and comfortable!! about a 15 minute drive from George Washington National Forest and hiking and about 30 minutes into Strasburg or MIddletown. Will definitely be looking for another time to come back and stay.
