Dolafon is a 3 bed holiday cottage in Pwllheli, North Wales, sleeping 4. It has plenty of character, but the benefit of a recent and high standard renovation. The surrounding area has beautiful unspoilt beaches and Snowdonia National Park is near by. The nearest beach is a 5 minute walk away.
The cottage is located in a convenient and popular position a stone's throw to the beach, marina and town. The cottage is elevated from the road and enjoys a view down the river towards the marina from the front, as well as spectacular views over the harbour, Cardigan Bay and the mountains of Mid Wales from the back garden.
The property has an open plan living/dining room with large dining table to seat 8, a newly fitted kitchen with washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and Nespresso coffee machine, 2 single and 1 double bedroom (with kingsize bed) and a newly refurbished bathroom. Highchair, baby gate, changing mat, steriliser and baby plates/bowls and crockery all provided. There is a terraced rear garden which is a work in progress. We have a large decked area with a picnic bench, there are stunning views of the bay from there. Please note the steps up to the deck are steep and uneven and not suitable for everyone, little ones would need to be supervised while going up but once up there the area is safe.
You will have the whole house, except the loft space which is closed off.
Interaction with guests
Please feel free to email us for help/information during your stay. Pwllheli is Dez's home town so he knows it very well!
Other things to note
Unfortunately the house and garden are not wheelchair friendly. The house is child friendly - a high chair, changing mat, bottle steriliser and stair gate can all be provided. However the back garden has steep steps which young children would need to be supervised on, it does have an enclosed deck area once you're up the steps though, and the beach is five minutes away for running around!
No pets and please no smoking in the house (garden is fine!)
Refuse & recycling bins to be put out on Wednesdays nights (the big green bin goes out every week (as we are a commercial property) but check chart on pin board in the kitchen for whether it's a recycling week.)
Hi. Myself and my partner Dez have close links to Pwllheli, it's his home town and most of his family still live there. When he moved away to live in Bristol with me we went back regularly to visit friends and family and enjoy the sailing, walking and generally being outside which is so good around there. We met through sailing and are both outdoors people. We now have two small children and decided to buy somewhere there so we could all go up there as often as possible. We hope you would enjoy staying in our cottage as much as we do.
