Response from Erik:
Very interesting review, here's some explanation, mainly as the word honesty is used but the review doesn't seem to be that honest:
First of all, none of the points here were told during check in, the stay or check out....
Yes, I did have an important business meeting in the morning when they arrived, so I arranged someone was in my place when they arrived, I informed them a few days before arrival, I offered to pay for the luggage lockers on Amsterdam Central station, I arranged someone in my apartment to welcome them, why they weren't able to find the apartmemt or the doorbell is still unclear to me.
The add says two bedrooms and three beds, I offer a bouble bed of 2,00 by 2,10 and a single bed, upon arrival I offered to arrange an extra bed, which wasn't needed then. They talk about a blow up bed, which is a bit surprising, according to several reviews the matress I offer are about the best you can buy.
With the tram you can reach the Vondelpark in 15 minutes, Leidseplein in 20 minutes and Rembrandtplein in 25 minutes, according to most people, both residents and tourists, that is the Amsterdam city center. If they have a different definition about a city center, that's ok, but I use the definition of around 99,9%.
Also this group expected three seperate beds (just read the add), extra keys for the group (no one asked about this before or during the stay), and everything arranged upon their early arrival and check in needs early in the morning at 9 am.
As said, none of these points were mentioned by this party before or during the stay, though we had quite good contact via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), I think their suggestion of not renting again via airbnb is a good idea. For next time visiting Amsterdam I recommend they book the Amstel hotel royal suite.
