This was a great place to stay for our first trip to the Gulf Coast. It is right across the street from the beach, but do take note that you have to cross a street that was busier than we expected and there are cars coming around corners in both directions. However, you can walk a block up the street to a crosswalk to cross more safely.
There is a parking lot and a "strip mall" like building once you cross the street before you get to the beach. The "strip mall" has a restaurant, which was very good, a store for souvenirs, sunscreen, and beach gear, a visitor center, and I believe you can rent beach and water things somewhere in there as well. The beach entrance has a play area for kids, volleyball nets, and a couple of picnic tables. The beach itself is beautiful.
The island of Anna Maria is really lovely. We visited many beaches over our trip and Holmes Beach and Coquina Beach were among the busiest. We were very close to a Publix grocery store, Walgreens, CVS, Dollar Tree, and several small restaurants and shops. We ate at the Old Hamburg Schnitzelhaus one night and it was wonderful.
The apartment was nice with a comfortable queen size bed and a pull out couch that was maybe full size. The couch bed was pretty hard, but it was useful since we are a party of 3. There is a refrigerator with freezer in the closet and the dresser has a microwave, toaster oven, and toaster on top and dishes in some of the drawers. There is even an electric fry pan on top of the fridge.
The washer and dryer is located in a room off the carport. There are actually two of each. It was very clean and very handy to be able to wash our clothes after all that salt water and sunscreen. Bring your own high efficiency detergent. The carport also contains many items for your use like beach chairs.
The pool was great as it is just a few steps to the gate outside the door of your room. There are a couple of lounge chairs and a pool float or two. There is also a grill you can use. Parking is right outside the door to the apartment making loading and unloading luggage easy.
It was a fun stay and we can't wait to come back and explore more of the Gulf Coast.
