Interaction with guests
We will be available for you at any time and staying nearby with my parents. We may feed the animals in the morning while you are there and put them away at night.
Respect our home as you respect your home.
Don't chase or tease the barn animals.
Stay off the extreme swing tower.
No smoking inside the house. If you smoke outside, dispose of your butts properly.
We are Brooklyn transplants who now enjoy Nebraska's "Good Life" on an 8-acre property 30 minutes south of Omaha, where we raise and tend to our son, fruits and vegetables, two house poodles, six barn cats, four Southdown Babydoll Sheep and flock of chickens and ducks. I am a freelance Chinese translator and editor, and my husband, Adam, is an attorney in Omaha. Adam and I both speak and read fluent Mandarin and met in our 20s during travels abroad. We enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction, gardening, hiking on the property and on nearby trails, cooking and learning how to be good homesteaders.
