The space
This charming independent house was built mid XIX Century in a genuine aeolian- style architecture. Entirely refurbished in 2010, the house was tastefully fitted out with antiques and XIX century furnitures. An ample olive grow, citrus, fig and almond trees garden surrounds her. And many flowers. A large terrace south-east faced, offers an outstanding view on the islands of Lipari, Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli. With clear weather you may distinguish on your right the mighty Mount Etna.
Villa Salina lies on the slopes of an old volcano, some hundert meters on the sea-level at the border of a natural Reserve. During summer, sea-breezes provide a surprisingly refreshing micro-climate.
The beach, restaurants, some shops and the Island's Museum as well as the small village lie some 6OO meters below the house. The bus stop is about 200 mt. Villa Salina can be reached by car or scooter. An own sun protected parking place is available for its guests. The village of Santa Marina, the harbour, the Pharmacy and other shops and services lay at some two Km. away. Villa Salina disposes of two double-bed rooms with own bathrooms. There is one living with fireplace and nearby an ample equipped kitchen. All the above rooms open on the terrace and face the sea.
A third double-bed room, with a small kitchen and its own Bath-room, a sort of studio, opens such as a veranda on the backyard garden and pergola. One bed-room and the living room dispose of Air conditionning. The living might host two more beds if needed.
