A recent testimonial: Xmas 2015
'We had a lovely xmas break here. Especially enjoyed the walks along the deserted beach collecting fossils and driftwood. The studio is nice and cosy and a great place to get away from it all. Thank you for the privacy!

Really nice little cabin. It's very handy to walk down to the quiet beach through the woods. You might need to take a brave pill walking down the path to the studio at night though! We had to cut the trip short unfortunately, but would've liked the extra night.

It is a beautiful location, very secluded and peaceful. Being off grid was a lovely experience and the spring water was amazing. The nearby beach and walks were great too. The drive to the cottage might be a little challenging for some, especially if it's raining. If you have a choice of cars bring one with a bigger engine. That said it is worth it for the amazing location.

Really interesting accommodation, The host George provides perfect instructions to find this secluded cabin. You really feel you are living in a forest lovely bird life around and great clear skies at night. If you're feeling energetic there are some lovely walks to Seaton and Lyme Regis or for the less energetic a 10-15 minute walk will get you to a deserted pebble beach. The cabin itself is clean and has everything you would need and George takes time out to show you how everything works. We came down to watch the Perseids meteor shower and George even checked the cloud cover on the evening we were arriving to let us know how visible they would be!

Beautiful location deep in stunning woodland perfect break away from it all. Cabin was perfect for the 2 of us even bigger than we expected, really cosy with very comfy bed and sofa, can't fault it at all we loved every minute, even with the 3 days of rain! The bus stop is about 30 min walk so we found it easy to venture out and explore when we wanted. George and Caroline are the perfect hosts friendly, welcoming and available if we needed anything, we will definitely be coming back again.

We had a lovely stay here. The location is incredible and beautiful. The accommodation provided everything we needed and what a treat to have running spring water. Being so close to the coastal path made it ideal for us as we could explore the under-cliffs. Walking to nearby Seaton and Lyme Regis was a challenging and enjoyable experience for my 7 month pregnant wife and l. Would recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors and nature.

The best nights sleep I have had in a very long time. I cannot emphasise enough how remote this property is! (just what we were looking for!) - Rural country charm with a 15 minute walk from your very own private beach.. (and it actually is private). The studio comes very well equipped with all of the day to day living essentials. George and Caroline were extremely accommodating and were always on hand to help with any questions we had. We will definitely be recommending The Undercliffe to friends and family. If you are looking for remote, rural surroundings close to a beach - Look no further. Thank you George & Caroline

My wife and I live in the only house in The Undercliff and never take for granted how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. The stars at night are undiluted by light pollution and bird song fills the air. Everyone who has shared this lovely space with us feels the p…
