Description

The space

We can provide a super unusual 2 floor main door flat with 2 wc and showers. Its just a great flat to hang out in before heading out to the pubs, clubs lovely restaurants which are on the door step so no need for taxis or buses. The flat has 4 big bedrooms made up of; family room with a bunk bed and a double, a double room, a twin room, and a spacious front bunk room for 2 or 3, a big lounge, with a sofa bed, the kitchen is also a cosy place to hang out before heading out to party.
The flat is about 30 minutes walk from railway station which has the airport bus to the airport about 30 minutes bus ride away.
As well as the buzzing city centre and the castle only 20 minutes walk away, there is a lovely afternoon walk up a big hill in the centre of the capital called Aurthers seat. Fantastic sports centre just up the road.

Guest access

You will have full use of the flat and broadband provider.

Interaction with guests

Alastair does not live in the accommodation but can be available to help plan your time in scotland. Tours can be arranged even fishing in the Highlands.

The neighbourhood

The neighbourhood is a busy city centre but the area has a lovely feel with pubs restaurants and a close walking distance if able, to the castle via a lovely walk through the meadows park. And, the volcano of Aurthers seat is a short walk away.

Getting around

Plenty public transport with buses and taxis regularly available from the door step. But as you are in the centre everything is within walking distance. tours can be arranged to other parts of scotland with use of a 6 seater vehicle. cars are not required in the centre of the city and parking is very difficult and not usually free during the day.

Other things to note

better to hire a car at the end of your stay in Edinburgh before touring. arrangements can be made to collect guests from the airport for a cheaper rate than a taxi. Although travelling alone will be better bus it. 8 beds but with 2 doubles and sofa bed and extra bed in front bunk room we can accommodate 12.

What a nice place ! We spent 4 days at Alastair's and we enjoyed the place as well as the city. The apartment is really well located : at walking distance from the city center, at the bottom of Athur's seat, really close to the public transport, and you will find pubs & restaurants all around. Alastair is very nice & helpful and the apartment is really well equipped, furnished and tasteful decorated and suitable for big families (we were 10). I hope that we'll be able to come back soon !

The apartment is central, clean and perfect for larger groups. After a nice day in Edinburgh, the big living room and kitchen give some extra space to relax in the apartment. On top of that, the communication with Alastair was good and pleasant.

This apartment was fantastic for our hen weekend. Really comfortable and clean. Well based as it is extremely close to the city centre - either a 2 min taxi ride everywhere (heels seem it unsuitable to walk!) or a 10 minute scenic walk through the park! Alastair couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly! Highly recommend his place! Thank you so much! X
