This apartment 1407 located at Bright Point is right next to the ferry terminal and bus stop making it so easy to get on and off the ferry without transport. Secure undercover car parking is included if you have a vehicle.

The space

This apartment has all the mod-cons, newly furnished with additional extras:- full size fridge and fully equiped kitchen, coffee pod expresso machine, kids beach toys and pool toys, washer, dryer, fully air-conditioned, TV with DVD player and kids DVDs, close proximity to pool and BBQ facilities with ocean and mountain views from the spacious balcony on the 4th floor.
Room configuration is 1 x Queen in Master Suite with ensuite and either 2 x single or 1 x King (please specify if this is your preference as beds are otherwise made up as 2 x singles) We also have a port-a-cot available on request at no additional charge, allowing for up to 2 adults, 2 children and 1

Bright Point is an apartment complex located at Nelly Bay. Your apartment is a private apartment, not a shared space. The complex has many shared spaces, including 4 pool and BBQ areas & a Gym. We will meet you at either ferry terminal in Townsville or at the front gate as you get off the ferry or barge. We will contact you prior to check in to arrange this.

Interaction with guests

We can meet you at the Townsville Ferry Terminal to provide keys and information for your stay.
Note that check in/out times can be flexible to accommodate your needs and subject to availability. Often we can allow an early check in at no additional charge or the option to drop baggage at the room. Please advise your requirements and we will accommodate as much as possible!

Other things to note

Passenger ferry or vehicle barge is the only public access to the island. The apartment is within easy walking distance from ferry terminal, approx 100 metres.
Check in/out times - we are more than happy to allow free early check in and late check out to accommodate your needs where possible.
You will need a sensor pass or 'fob' to get into the complex. This is the white card. If walking, you can enter via the gate on the right then turn into the first carpark on the left and the lift is toward the back. Follow the signs and turn into 'Osprey Car Park'. OR next to reception there is an alcove and door which takes you under cover through the carpark to that lift located at the far end of the carpark to the rear. All of these areas you need a Fob to get into and out of the complex.
If you are driving you need to be on top of a sensor square very close to the gate. The gate opens away from you as you enter. You may need to hold the fob outside of the window. Turn into the first carpark on the left 'Osprey Car Park' and park anywhere - there are no designated spaces.

The Apartment is located on the 4th floor - 1407 - use the bronze key to enter.
The closest pool is up on level 5 a short walk up the stairs (or lift) and the gym is also in this area which is what the other key is for. There are other pools located around the complex also.

Please note that the door will lock behind you automatically when it is closed so always take the key with you when closing the door. If you lock the key inside you may be charged a $50 call out fee for someone with a key to travel to the island to unlock the door. If keys are lost the cost of replacement will be $99 for the key and fob.

Great modern apartment with lovely swimming pools and beautiful spa bath. Has a coffee machine which was an added bonus. Only small issue was the bed in the master bedroom we found uncomfortable

I would highly recommend Ngairie's beautiful apartment. The communication was excellent, we were met on arrival, and found the apartment spotlessly clean and spacious. The added touch of coffee pods, candles and welcome beverages were greatly appreciated. We travelled to the island for yacht racing week and the apartment is in a perfect location - walking distance from the ferry, marina, supermarket, topless car rental. It was wonderful to chill out at the end of the day by the pool and spa followed by a bbq watching the sunset. Thank you Ngairie!

This apartment is the perfect base from which to explore the island. Best location so close to the ferry and local amenities. So much space to chill out with all the kitchen supplies needed to help you feel right at home. Loved the welcome drinks waiting in the fridge, and quite possibly the most comfy bed! Nice to have a coffee machine and the spa was very relaxing. We had the BEST time and really appreciate how communicative Ngairie and Trina were. We'll be back, and will tell all our friends!

Firstly, thank you Ngaire! Staying at Ngaire's apartment made our stay at Magnetic Island an absolute delight. Ngaire communicated with us during the months prior to our stay, assessing our needs and offering advice. As we were travelling with my 84y.o aunt with limited mobility, Ngaire arranged for my parents and aunt to be picked up (luggage, wheelie walker & all) from the ferry terminal and transported the 100 metres to the complex. From there, it was just a short trip up the elevator to the 4th floor. On foot, the distance from the terminal to the apartment is a breeze with IGA conveniently located along the way. Inside Ngaire's aqua-themed apartment was like walking into a magazine page - everything matching and in its place. Perfect for a self-contained, no worries retreat. The layout and contents of the apartment show that Ngaire is a very thoughtful host who has catered for all tastes and ages (including the well selected DVD collection). The fridge and pantry were well stocked (thank you for the bottle of wine, much appreciated) and the kitchen itself was easily assessable. The beds were super comfy and the spa bath was the finishing touch! Having access to the roof top pool and being so close to the ferry made staying in a holiday complex absolutely worth it. The complex itself was a little noisy at night, but as one would expect and added to the holiday atmosphere (once inside the apartment with doors shut, the noise was minimal). I could list out many more advantages here but I will save those for the next time I stay at Ngaire's in hopefully the not too distant future - if it's not all booked out from all the great reviews! Lovely unit in the centrally-located Bright Point near the ferry. Clean, well appointed and Ngaire was a great host.

I live in Townsville and love to visit magnetic island, we especially love hiking and cycling and visiting the many bays on the island you can only get to by foot. We love to stay active while indulging occasionally in good food and wine and coffee. We are easily contactable to assist during your stay and aim to provide a beautiful, clean and well equipped apartment. It means a lot to us that you enjoy your stay at our place and want to come back!
