This apartment has all the mod-cons, newly furnished with additional extras:- full size fridge and fully equiped kitchen, coffee pod expresso machine, kids beach toys and pool toys, washer, dryer, fully air-conditioned, TV with DVD player and kids DVDs, close proximity to pool and BBQ facilities with ocean and mountain views from the spacious balcony on the 4th floor.
Room configuration is 1 x Queen in Master Suite with ensuite and either 2 x single or 1 x King (please specify if this is your preference as beds are otherwise made up as 2 x singles) We also have a port-a-cot available on request at no additional charge, allowing for up to 2 adults, 2 children and 1
Bright Point is an apartment complex located at Nelly Bay. Your apartment is a private apartment, not a shared space. The complex has many shared spaces, including 4 pool and BBQ areas & a Gym. We will meet you at either ferry terminal in Townsville or at the front gate as you get off the ferry or barge. We will contact you prior to check in to arrange this.
Interaction with guests
We can meet you at the Townsville Ferry Terminal to provide keys and information for your stay.
Note that check in/out times can be flexible to accommodate your needs and subject to availability. Often we can allow an early check in at no additional charge or the option to drop baggage at the room. Please advise your requirements and we will accommodate as much as possible!
Other things to note
Passenger ferry or vehicle barge is the only public access to the island. The apartment is within easy walking distance from ferry terminal, approx 100 metres.
Check in/out times - we are more than happy to allow free early check in and late check out to accommodate your needs where possible.
You will need a sensor pass or 'fob' to get into the complex. This is the white card. If walking, you can enter via the gate on the right then turn into the first carpark on the left and the lift is toward the back. Follow the signs and turn into 'Osprey Car Park'. OR next to reception there is an alcove and door which takes you under cover through the carpark to that lift located at the far end of the carpark to the rear. All of these areas you need a Fob to get into and out of the complex.
If you are driving you need to be on top of a sensor square very close to the gate. The gate opens away from you as you enter. You may need to hold the fob outside of the window. Turn into the first carpark on the left 'Osprey Car Park' and park anywhere - there are no designated spaces.
The Apartment is located on the 4th floor - 1407 - use the bronze key to enter.
The closest pool is up on level 5 a short walk up the stairs (or lift) and the gym is also in this area which is what the other key is for. There are other pools located around the complex also.
Please note that the door will lock behind you automatically when it is closed so always take the key with you when closing the door. If you lock the key inside you may be charged a $50 call out fee for someone with a key to travel to the island to unlock the door. If keys are lost the cost of replacement will be $99 for the key and fob.

Strictly No Smoking anywhere in apartment or on balcony. Family friendly accommodation, no party policy applies.
Accommodation will be cancelled if hosts are unhappy with guests behaviour before or after arrival.
Airconditioning only takes minutes to cool down, so please turn off when leaving the apartment. Note that it will only work when all doors and windows are completely closed.
Tight water restrictions are in place in this region so please keep showers and water usage to a minimum where possible.
I live in Townsville and love to visit magnetic island, we especially love hiking and cycling and visiting the many bays on the island you can only get to by foot. We love to stay active while indulging occasionally in good food and wine and coffee.
