Absolutely beautiful location. The stables have been converted to a really high standard and we had a very comfortable stay. It's a short distance into Maynooth by car which suited us perfectly. Thanks again.

Wonderfully quiet and secluded. As it is a few kms outside of Maynooth, you will likely need a car. Great location for walking the many roads nearby. Hosts are very kind and welcoming. This is a converted stable not a hotel, but has all the modern conveniences. We loved our week there.

Angela's stables were a wonderful place to stay! Communication was clear and check in was easy, her directions on how to get to her house seem complicated, but follow them carefully and you will arrive easily at your destination! Best of all, when we told her we were meeting friends for dinner, supposedly nearby, she told us firmly that we should call a cab to take us, and gave us a card for the local company...superb advice! When we saw where the restaurant was (Samuel Beckett's childhood home!) we were eternally grateful, it would have been a challenge to find it on our own. It was a little hard to tell, but yes, you will be staying in three newly remodeled luxury horse stalls...there is no inside connecting hallway, you have to go outside from bedroom to bedroom (each with an en suite bathroom) and the combined living/dining/kitchen area. Angela was kind enough to provide food for a light breakfast in our kitchen, eggs, toast, muesli, coffee and tea. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We were able to do our laundry after a week on the road. The main house nearby is beautiful, and it was a privilege to be able to stay in such a \peaceful, green country setting, full of birdsong. We would recommend Angela's apartment stables without hesitation!

This is a really lovely tranquil spot a couple of k outside the lively little town of Maynooth. You'll want your own transport

Angela User ProfileAngela is a superhost.

I live in a country house with a collection of art & furniture from the Irish Georgian periods and love traveling to explore what other cultures have to offer. I am a furniture historian specialising in early nineteenth century Irish cabinetmakers.
During the summer, I'm on the road nearly every weekend travelling all over Ireland, UK and Europe with our horses as my daughters compete in eventing competitions regularly.
