Maui is OPEN for tourists, after the devastating wildfires! Your condo is far away from Lahaina, and the people of Maui need you to visit their Island, to assist them recover financially from the fires!

Enjoy the spectacular, treetop, panoramic, view of Maalaea Bay and Haleakala, from your private lanai. Watch turtles feeding along the shoreline and in the winter see humpback whales jumping in the Bay. Your condo is far away from Lahaina, yet close to everything fun to do in Eastern Maui!

The space
PLEASE NOTE: For your protection, convenience and safety, your condo is professionally cleaned AND sanitized after each guest check-out. We provide hand soap in each bathroom and by the kitchen sink, with extra cleaning emphasis applied to high touch surfaces like A/C thermostats, remote controls, telephones and appliance/door handles!

Your oceanfront condo is located at the Ma'alaea Banyans condo. It is on the top floor of a 4 story building (via elevator), which sleeps a maximum of six (6) adults. It is a 2.5 bedroom - 2 bath vacation retreat, with central air-conditioning. We provide free high-speed WiFi Internet, full kitchen with all utensils, all linens and towels, in-residence washer/dryer, cable TV in all bedrooms, private lanai, solar heated pool, hot tub, gas barbecue grills, all just 50 feet from the ocean's shoreline!

While your condo is 100% centrally Air-Conditioned, it was designed and built in the days before central A/C was installed, in order to take advantage of the Trade Winds to cool the unit, which blow pretty much 24/7 on Maui. Just a thought, should you desire a more traditional mainland hotel with closed off bedrooms, you may want to consider a chain hotel for your stay, not a residential condo. Karen and I want you to be happy with your accommodations, upon arrival!

In your unit, you and your guests will have a master bedroom (king size bed) and two loft bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and two twin beds in the other loft bedroom. There are two bathrooms, one full tub bath downstairs, and one full shower bath upstairs.

After a long day exploring Maui you can unwind in you heated swimming pool or hot tub. You will have access to a small private beach on property and a block down the road from your condo there is a "passive park" with a 4 mile long white "Sugar Sand" beach. Your condo is close to shopping, attractions, restaurants and golf courses.

Oh, and do not forget the beautiful humpback whales, in season, which jump and play out in the bay, a few hundred yards offshore from your private lanai!

You are booking the entire condo apartment. You will be send a front door key code with the check-in instructions. You may use the solar heated pool, Hot tub and gas Bar-B-Q patio, all with a killer ocean view. (Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult please) You have a small private beach where you may collect shells or children can play in the sand. Scenic parks near by with ocean activities and marine excursions available at Ma'alaea Harbor, just down the street.

Other things to note

Your top floor, ocean front condo has a treetop, panoramic 'million dollar' view of Maalaea Bay and the 10,043' Haleakala dormant volcano. Listen to the surf lap at the shore a few feet below your private lanai. Watch whales play in season out in the bay. Your condo is far away from the Lahaina fires, on the other side of the mountain. Eastern Maui has hundreds of things to see and do, without bothering the recovery efforts in Lahaina.

I asked Karen to marry me when we were on the summit of Haleakala (10,043'), which can be seen from our 4th floor, treetop lanai. We were married by a remote waterfall on Maui a year later. Maui is very special to us! Ma'alaea (Mah-ah-lie-yah) is a secluded, little village off the beaten path to Lahaina. Not many people know the town even exists and that is why we like it. It is centrally located to just about everything fun to do on Maui, but when you return back to your "Little grass shack", you seem to be miles away from everything and can relax and take time to smell the plumerias!!!
