You’ll have the bungalow to yourself.

Attractive to couples and families who enjoy the informal rural setting in all seasons.
"The setting is magical! Falling asleep to the sound of the river was a real treat!"

The space
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one double the other with ( adult sized) bunk beds. The kitchen/dining/livingspace is generous & open plan, and leads out to the sheltered deck to the west. It has a wood burning stove and there's underfloor heating throughout ( on Autumn to Spring) The cottage has a lot of natural light and lovely views. The cottage is " accessible" although visitors should check any specific requirements.

Guest access
Visitors access the cottage from their own gateway, allowing on site parking. There is plenty of external space, which opens onto a fenced area with chickens & hens ( who are very entertaining). The garden includes drying lines next to the organic vegetable garden, accessed by the owners. The whole area is now enclosed with a fence for child safety, but adult visitors are welcome to sit beside the river.

During your stay
Vistors are made very welcome to talk to us about the innovative form of construction in "Hempcrete". Also many visiting children enjoy collecting eggs & looking at the compost heaps etc. There are plenty of opportunities to spot kingfishers, herrons, even an otter has been seen on the river. We're very keen to share our knowledge of the locality & have good maps of walks in The Mourne Mountains, local beaches etc
