The space
The cottage has been designed and furnished for those who look for the finer things in life – who love beautiful natural surrounds as much as they appreciate a refined living space. People visit Cliff Cottage, Kilkee for many reasons. For some it’s simply a great place to come and unwind and do very little. Others come to explore the outstanding natural beauty of the area.

The cottage offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Kilkee’s famous cliffs and its magnificent horse-shoe bay. As one of only two houses that enjoy a shore-edge location, the cottage provides direct access to the East cliff, George’s Head and Kilkee Golf Course.

“It’s no coincidence that the cottage’s history and location are synonymous with relaxation and rejuvenation. The cottage is built on a site that, in the late 1830s and 1840s, was occupied by hot baths. These were fed by water pumped from the sea, offering a natural therapy to visitors from afar.”

The open-plan extension is filled with natural light and designed to ‘bring the outside in’ with seascape views that surround you.

A spacious dining area with large table to seat 8 invites you to dine with the sea as your dramatic backdrop.

Wall-to-wall sliding doors open on to your own cliff top patio with patio furniture and gas barbeque. Dine al fresco to the sound of the waves below or breakfast as you relax and watch life out on the water.
