Skiin/out The cabin borders directly on the hiking and high mountain terrain east behind the cabin. A great hiking terrain inwards the silk valley. Short distance to many fishing waters and nice swimming areas. The area is known for good skiing conditions throughout the winter with 150 km of cross-country ski trails, 12 lifts and 26 slopes. Idyllic place on Gøynes by Lake Tinnsjøen

The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Outboard motor 1-3 days NOK 400,-

Cozy cabin on Gaustablikk

Fantastic view of Gaustatoppen. The unique thing about this cabin is that it is not located in a cabin area, there is nature and tranquility and birds singing as the closest neighbors. The cross-country trails start right at the parking lot, and from there it is about 300 meters to the alpine facility. Note: It is a distance to walk from the parking lot up to the cabin, 150 meters in the summer/250 meters in the winter, it is steep the first part, so it does NOT fit if you have bad legs. Approx. 1.5 km to Gaustablikk mountain hotel.
