The rental looked exactly as advertised. My biggest issue was the lack of communication with the power outages. I totally understand that it was to be expected, but on one day there was notice in advance, but it wasn’t communicated to us until we contacted the host. And the power was out for more than 8 hours. No water, cooling or wifi. The bed could be a little more comfortable, something a mattress pad could cure. Also there were these little black bugs all over the kitchen island, so eating there was not the best. We purchased cleaning wipes and soap, but they kept coming back. The rooftop pool was nice, but the private pool needs to be cleaned more frequently. Also some more towels would be nice. And some more glasses to drink out of (there was only 1 wine glass) and a drying rack for the dishes. As well as pot holders would also be a great addition to the home. This is constructive criticism, I loved my trip and would definitely visit Tulum again.
