The staff and condition of the cabin, decking and hot tub was exceptional. Highly recommend this for a short stay.

Lovely stay! Hawthorn @ Mount Congrieve Estate is cosy and clean with a very comfortable bed. It had everything we needed for our stay. The extra facilities of the cafe on site during the day, having after hours access to the gardens and your own the hot tub in the evening made this an easy relaxing break. It is a 20 mins drive into Waterford city and here is well located to explore the county, so that is the plan for our next visit here. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay!

Beautifully furnished cottage, the host Fiona that met us there was lovely and very welcoming. Unfortunately the mattresses were of poor quality, not suitable for elderly or anyone with restricted mobility as the beds too low. Would recommend changing the bed frame and mattress. While we had a lovely stay we felt the price is too expensive unfortunately, we would return for a day trip but not for overnight stay.

The house was above our expectations. We really enjoyed the period pieces. Mary was a generous hostess. We really enjoyed the ability to walk around the gardens before it opened up to the public. The gardens were beautiful.
