Here you can fish in the fjord that is icy 6 months a year, go mountain hikes in the nearby area or drive into Tromsø which takes about 30 minutes. The shop, car ferry, gas station and pub are all within walking distance. Bus connection to Alta and Tromssa. Gorsabrua is about 35km away. Lyngen Alps, Storhaugen, Blåvatnet, Lyngen Staircase are easily accessible. There are also good fishing spots nearby. If you have an accident, the doctor on call can be found 17 km from Birtavarre.
