We are a couple with a big cosy house in the heart of Norway, and we would like to share it with you. Those who want to enjoy untouched beauty of nature, hike, visit a former olympic town of Lillehammer and spend some time in peace are welcome:)
“I honestly don't know where to begin with this review. Staying at Aase was probably one of my favorite experiences in Norway. The best way to describe it, is visiting your Norwegian grandmothers home. Aase has a lovely home with multiple private rooms and a shared bathroom. She welcomed my girlfriend and I as part of the family. We had dinner with Aase, her husband, and her grandson and the food was lovely. Then there was a communal desert with all the other guests, and we would chat for hours about everything under the sun. Breakfast was included and had a great spread to choose from. Her home is cozy and the rooms quaint. It's a beautiful spot up in the mountains about 45 mins from Lillehammer. We had been camping for weeks in the rain so we just enjoyed some time just hanging out in the house. Aase's english is pretty good and she is always down to chat if you are. It felt being part of one big eclectic family. I highly recommend staying at Aase's. It's a great taste of how true Norwegians live and it's a beautiful spot to spend a few days.”
Welcome to our charming house from 1901. New Kitchen, bathroom and SAUNA in 2019. Close to Lillehammer town. The house sleeps a total of six person in three bedroms. There is a large well equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a sauna, a dining area and a living-room with a fire-Place. An idyllic garden. Pick and eat what you want when the fruit and berries are ripe.
“We absolutely loved our time at Hege's place! We were there for five weeks and really got to know the neighbourhood and the surrounding areas. So many fabulous options for cross-country skiing! We loved skiing on the groomed trails at the top of the hill, only 10 minutes from the house! Hege gave us tons of locals tips that were very helpful. My children loved wandering the neighbourhood and meeting the friendly local children. We were able to ski and skate on the lake behind the house and there is a little park around the corner that the kids enjoyed. The Kiwi grocery store and a pharmacy are only 100m from the house as well, so very convenient! The house itself was perfect for our family. The kitchen and dining area are quite large and the separate living room has a wonderful fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipt and very easy to work in. The home has two bedrooms (one with two single beds and one with a king bed) and a large and very cosy open space upstairs with two single beds. a large sectional and lots of room for the kids to play with the huge wooden train set and lego table! My son spent hours playing with the train set! I can't say enough good things about this cute little cottage in Vingnes and the wonderful host, Hege. We hope to return one day!”
Special house, in a peaceful valley, on a lovely little farm. Very short distance to the famously beautiful “Vassfaret” and other amazing hiking-tracks.
