On the edge of a "jøl" (a type of riverbank), created by the river's thousand-year effort to reach the fjord, the cabin partially floats in the terrain. Situated completely by itself without close neighbors, but overlooking the cultural landscape and village, this is a perfect place for both relaxation and activity.

Urke is a lively little village and has everything you need; great nature, hiking and swimming opportunities, shop with post office and pharmacy, garden center and own pub/cafe. The nature in the area is amazing. Sunnmørsalpane surrounds the village with majestic Slogen and Saksa which has become very popular after Sherpas from Nepal have made steps up through the URA. In the last couple of years, Urkeegga has also become a popular tourist destination. The mountains here are as popular for skiers in winter as for mountain trips in summer.

Enjoy the wonderful view from this idyllic storehouse located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The storage room is over a century old, but has been renovated. NOTE: The storage room has electricity, but not running water or a toilet. Guests can use shower and toilet in the main house which is 30 m away. The bathroom in the main house is only used by you guests and access to the rest of the main house is closed off. There is 5 gallons of water available in the fridge. The house is located 35m from the parking lot in sloping terrain. Small sandy beach and common barbecue/outdoor area nearby. 400 m to Sæbø center with grocery stores, niche stores, hotels and campsite. Motorboat can be rented at an additional cost, floating jetty 50m from the house. Please let us know before arrival if boat rental is applicable.
