Small cabin in the forest

If you’d like to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days, we highly recommend Veslestua. There is a road leading to the cabin, which has no water or electricity. In winter, you can put on your skis right outside and walk 200 metres to groomed ski slopes that lead into the forest and across the marshes. The mountain feeling doesn’t get any better, 50 minutes from Oslo. Blue marked hiking trail right from the door in beautiful forest surroundings. 15 minute walk up to a pond with fishing and swimming opportunities. Gas fridge during the summer months. 30 min. from Oslo Airport by car. Well-equipped apartment in a quiet, family-friendly area. 15 min. walking distance to the train. (Train takes 38 minutes to Oslo S.) Approximately 45 min by car to Oslo. 15 min. walking distance to grocery stores, pharmacy, pizza/Indian/grill and hairdresser. The area has nice hiking opportunities and is close to the outdoor swimming pool "Bader'n" (open June 19 - August 16). You live in a rural area, but at the same time centrally. A short drive from the apartment takes you to Eidsvoll station. From here there are 3/4 trains per hour that take you to Oslo Airport in 9 min. and to Oslo S in 34 min.

There are plenty of hiking tracks in the forest, and we have two bikes for rent so you can explore the countryside roads. Storsjøen is a large lake great for fishing both in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.
