Have the Olympic torch all to yourselves
This year’s torch that I designed will be privately displayed in your room.
For the first time ever, and for just one night, the museum’s iconic clock room will be transformed into a bedroom. I’ve crafted a unique space that is both romantic and contemporary, intimate yet sumptuous. Surrounded by the works of the greatest Impressionist painters, I invite you to experience the most beautiful night in Paris, watching a truly historic event – the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
What you’ll do
Formerly a railway station in the heart of Paris 125 years ago, the Musée d’Orsay is now one of the finest museums in the world, boasting the largest collection of Impressionist paintings. All the original architectural features have been preserved, including the iconic and monumental clock visible from inside and out.
For one night only, like a marvellous apparition, the clock room will become your bedroom. Adorned entirely in wood panelling, from the Versailles parquet floor to the vaulted ceiling, this space is designed as a daydream. The oversized glass and steel clock offers unparalleled views of the city, enhancing the beauty of the Parisian night. Your bed, suspended above the ground and the city, is the centrepiece. Two luminous ceramic flowers frame the headboard, while expansive, organically shaped sofas create a private lounge ambiance.
Included in the décor is the Paris 2024 Olympic torch, which I designed, displayed in its dedicated alcove, facing a padded punchbag for a personal sporting touch so that you can take part in the competition yourself! Since the most beautiful room must have the most beautiful balcony, the Museum’s large terrace will also be reserved for you. Paris is yours; the Ceremony can begin...
Get ready for a magical, history-making evening.
• Watch the Opening Ceremony with unparalleled views of the Seine from the museum’s rooftop terrace.
• Receive private access to the museum’s Impressionist Collection and an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience to visit a space not available to the public.
• Enjoy a gourmet dinner that showcases the finest French classics.
• Spend the night in my custom-designed clock room on a “floating” bed.
