Retro styling, updated amenities, and all the comforts from home - just downsized, slowed down, and simplified. Pets welcome, fenced and secure back yard. She’s a little “rough around the edges”, hence the name, but is safe, comfortable and charming. Your perfect couples getaway only 2 hours from Adelaide. Our place is a 1 km walk to the pub, shops, and Jetty.

Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.

1800's historic farmhouse on acreage for up to 4 guests. We provide breakfast provisions such as, Barossa sourdough, local eggs, vine- ripened tomatoes, Smokehouse bacon and dairy man butter. Yarrabee Retreat is a cosy, modern, freshly renovated space (55m2) situated on our 2 and a half acres, framed by gum trees and with abundant wildlife. Yarrabee means "many gum trees", and is only five mins drive to Clare. An easy 5 mins walk to Clare Valley Cycle Hire and a leisurely stroll to local wineries. A bright open plan living area, with the kitchenette equipped with a single burner induction hob and microwave.

Built in the early 1900's, this gracious comfortable house has a relaxed feel with generous rooms, high ceilings and modern amenities. It is filled with books, art, trashy novels, board games and spaces to play them or watch tv and lounge in front of the fire with a glass of local wine.
