Take it easy at this secluded, waterfront cabin near beautiful Magnolia Beach. Fish or launch kayaks from your front yard. This rustic property is located down a dirt road that can be very difficult to access when it rains a lot. 4x4 vehicles recommend. During dry times, the road is fine. Wildlife of all kinds are sometimes seen, many species of birds, bobcat, deer, and sometimes snakes. Alligators live in Old Town Lake, much like any body of water in South Texas. Swimming not recommended.

Welcome to the Blue Crab Cottage. Built in 2024, the Blue Crab Two replaces our beloved original Blue Crab. Your days will start with colorful Matagorda Bay sunrises and equally spectacular Powder horn Lake sunsets. The 360 degree views from the crow's-nest, are a favorite for bird and dolphin watching. Fish the bay out front or lake in the back. Just a few yards away, the Indianola Courthouse monument and Cistern monument are remainders of the catastrophic hurricanes of historic Indianola.

The Pelican

Relax, take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway by the bay, fish all day, catch crabs at the crabbin bridge or bask in the sun. The Pelican is a cozy cabin within minutes of the beach for swimming, fishing, crabbing or soaking up some sun. The beach is approximately a 5 minute drive from the cabin, bring your bicycle and ride to the beach, there are a couple of folding chairs for the the beach, beach bag and towels available. Whooping cranes ( Oct.-April) and 400 species of birds migrate and live in the area . Deer roam freely . Fishing and boat ramps along the water. State park is a peaceful walk. Rockport a short 9 miles ,lovely drive. No hammock at this time.
