The Bear's Den

Enjoy a private home while exploring the western North Carolina beauty. For more, read on. Here's a review left by my most recent guests: Five stars. Mary went above and beyond to accommodate The cabin is adorable with lots of nice touches, and the outdoors areas are simply amazing. The closet kitchen is well supplied . We actually cooked all but two meals during our week-long stay. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend "The Bear's Den" for your stay in the Franklin, NC area.

Adorable & freshly renovated cabin located in a private wooded community between Highlands and Franklin in the Nantahala National Forest. Our light & airy cabin is nestled on almost 4 acres of woodsy, mountainous terrain and is private and picturesque, yet still convenient to town. We love relaxing on the front porch, surrounded by nature and enjoying the sounds of the streams & views of the mountains. It is a peaceful cabin to relax & enjoy the cool breezes and scenery of the Smoky Mountains.

Our Joe Webb cabin is just minutes drive and a 15 min. walk to the Historic mountain town of Highlands, NC, with great restaurants, dining, bars, spa, art and culture. At 4,100 feet we have hiking, zip lining and waterfalls,romantic winters and summers with temps in the 70's - low 80's. You’ll love this place because of the coziness, warmth and charm of a classic mountain log cabin with all the modern comforts. Great get away for two in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Close to town, waterfalls, hiking and scenic views. Located in Franklin, NC and about an hours drive to Asheville, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, Bryson City and Clayton, GA! This unit is one of two available spaces attached to our home with private entrance, bed and bathroom. Easy access off state maintained paved road without sacrificing beautiful mountain views! No stairs to deal with!
