The space
Drive up to the majestic Almiral de la Font estate, set amongst 300 acres of private countryside just outside Sitges, and you'll immediately appreciate why it has become one of the region's most distinctive properties. Sitting proudly on a hillside, this historic Catalan masia enjoys panoramic views across the Garraf Natural Park, the surrounding mountains and, in the distance, the Mediterranean Sea. The estate is dotted with pear, olive, walnut and almond trees, while its vineyards continue a winemaking tradition that has shaped this landscape for centuries.
The history of Almiral de la Font is complemented by the comforts of modern living. Designed for families, friends and larger groups, the estate offers a remarkable variety of places to relax and spend time together. The main house offers ten individually designed bedrooms accommodating up to 28 guests, while the separate casita provides additional accommodation for those seeking a little more independence. Every room has its own character, combining traditional architecture with comfortable furnishings and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
Although Almiral feels wonderfully private, it is only ten minutes from the beaches, restaurants and boutiques of Sitges, 35 minutes from Barcelona International Airport and less than an hour from the centre of Barcelona. A total of ten bedrooms in the main house can accommodate up to 28 guests and one bedroom in the casita can receive an additional two. The primary bedroom on the first floor is furnished with a king size bed, sofa bed, en suite bathroom and a lovely sun terrace. Four other bedrooms also boast a king size bed and en suite bathroom, while the others have either two twins, queen size or double beds.

Almiral de la font, meaning "admiral of the (water) spring", enjoys huge grounds whose grapes are used for Freixenet, Cordoniu and other local cava’s. Amongst the 14 kilometers of private tracks you will also find pear, olive, cherry, walnut and almond trees in addition to many naturally growing herbs and vegetables (asparagus, rosemary and mushrooms).
The house, a protected building and fortified masia, was built around 1570 and was extended in 1800. It has been and continues to be a significant landmark in the Garraf area and was formerly used for winemaking and farming. Though totally renovated and adapted to a high standard of modern comfort, the original details have been preserved, in particular the wine presses and bodega. The windows have been enlarged to allow in more natural light. Balconies and terraces have been added.
Guest access
Guests enjoy exclusive use of the entire estate throughout their stay, including the main house, gardens, solar-heated infinity pool, gym, sauna, home cinema, games room, Moroccan lounge, terraces and all outdoor entertaining areas.
The estate sits within 300 acres of private land, giving guests the freedom to explore woodland, vineyards and walking tracks while enjoying complete privacy.
A member of our team will welcome you on arrival, show you around the property and answer any questions you may have. During your stay, our housekeeper attends daily to care for the communal areas of the house and gardens, with a full linen and towel change provided for longer stays. Additional housekeeping, catering, private chefs, babysitting and concierge services can be arranged in advance.
The property is offered on an exclusive-use basis and is never shared with other guests. We simply ask that guests respect the house, its contents and our neighbours so that everyone can continue to enjoy this unique historic estate for many years to come.
Other things to note
Almiral de la Font is a historic estate dating back to the 16th century. While it has been sympathetically restored with modern comforts, guests should expect character features such as uneven surfaces, steps and low beams in some areas.
A car is recommended to make the most of the surrounding countryside, beaches and nearby towns, although Sitges is only around 10 minutes away and Barcelona Airport approximately 35 minutes by road.
The rental includes daily housekeeping of the communal areas of the house. Additional housekeeping, laundry services and catering can be arranged in advance.
The estate is ideal for family holidays, corporate retreats, wellness groups and celebrations. If you are planning a wedding, event, filming or professional photography, please discuss your plans with us before booking so that we can ensure everything is properly arranged.
To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the estate and maintain good relationships with our neighbours, amplified music outdoors is not permitted after 9.00 pm. Music may continue indoors using the property's dedicated entertainment space.
Young children should be supervised around the swimming pool and throughout the estate, which extends to 300 acres of private countryside.
The separate casita is available only when included in your booking.
