The property is within walking distance of Raufoss town centre (about 15 minutes) where you'll find a shopping centre, buses, trains and a selection of restaurants. In the surrounding area, you'll find great hiking opportunities in both summer and winter. It is also only about a 15-minute drive to Gjøvik.

— ABOUT THE CABIN — We were inspired by The Thief in Oslo. It took two years to build. The result is Tyven — an 80 sqm boutique cabin with a large window overlooking Mjøsa — Norway's largest lake — from the kitchen. Featured in National Geographic Traveller. Private jacuzzi, two full bathrooms, and peace and privacy in Mjøsli's natural surroundings. Kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom on the ground floor — living room and two bedrooms on the lower floor. Well thought out down to the last detail, 30 minutes from Gardermoen.

The house is large and spacious, and is located with a lovely view over Mjøsa. By car it is about 1 hour to Lillehammer, 50 min to Gjøvik, 30 min to Hamar and about 20 min to Brumunddal. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets, one bathroom with 2 showers, garage, laundry room, 2 terraces with one of them as a partial winter garden, open plan kitchen and living room. TV, internet, ventilation, heat pump and air conditioning.

The summer barn at Hovelsrud, Helgøya

The old summer barn at Hovelsrud Farm is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling cornfield – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen counter, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach where you can swim, and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.
