Mellomgaard is located in a quiet area of Sør-Kvaløya. The house is of high standard, with bedrooms located separately on each side of the house. Here, you'll find a harmonious atmosphere in a rural setting, free from noise, light pollution, and traffic, while still being close to nearby prepared ski slopes, Tromsø city center, and nearby natural attractions. We have our own shoreline with sand and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Mellomgaard is about a 25-minute drive from Tromsø Airport and 35 minutes from Tromsø city center. The house is located on a farm with two other separate living units, you are our only guests. It has the highest position on the property, offering fantastic views. In the summer, a boat for fishing or day trips can be rented upon request. The nature in Northern Norway is stunning, with countless hiking trails and peaks to explore. During the dark season, you can see the Northern Lights from our backyard without light pollution from the surroundings. The area offers excellent opportunities for fantastic nature experiences, with a chance to spot eagles, reindeer, moose, and other wildlife living in the Arctic climate—sometimes right outside the door. You can also book a dog sledding trip, just a 10–15 minute drive away from 3 different companies, or enjoy a horseback ride or carriage ride! On our farm, we have two horses of the Nordlandshest/Lyngshest breed. This is one of three fully Norwegian horse breeds listed as endangered on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Our horses, Frost and Peer, are happy to welcome guests by appointment. In the area, you'll also find the popular Hella outdoor area, with old buildings, great fishing opportunities, and a café in the summer. Here, you can fish from the rocks, watch boat traffic up close, grill, or visit ancient rock carvings nearby. We’re happy to recommend great hiking destinations and experiences in the area! We can assist with directions and have created a guide that we’d love to share with you before your arrival, so you can easily navigate to activities and experiences that will make your vacation perfect!

Fredheim, house by the sea in Skulsfjord/ Tromsø

Recharge your batteries at this unique and peaceful accommodation. A 25-minute drive from Tromsø, in a small village called Skulsfjord, you will find this cozy little house by the sea. Amazing views and a quiet area where you can enjoy idyllic mountains and natural surroundings. The Northern Lights season is from September to April. If there is clear weather, it will dance in the sky directly from the living room window. Many good destinations for walking and by boat that the host can provide information about if needed, and maps are available in the house.

Cosy annexe, tranquillity, beach, northern lights, midnight sun

Small and cozy annex, with just what you need to stay overnight. It is peaceful and rural located on Sommarøy, right on the beach. The beach is great for small walks in summer and winter. Little light pollution, so perfect for enjoying the northern lights. The annex has a good double bed and window with a view to the sea. It's a small bathroom, with a small shower, sink and toilet. There is a small hallway to hang off, fridge where you can store some food and kettle to boil some coffee or tea.

Enjoy the midnight sun or the northen lights. Above all, we want you to have a very good stay. That's why we offer you free rental of bicycles, snowshoes, canoes, firewood, barbecues and kayak for those with experience. The apartment is on the first floor and has large windows. It is in the nature surrounded by the ocean, white coral beaches, islets and reefs, you can see this trough the apartment windows. Park right outsidee and indside you really have everything you might need.

Apartment in beautiful Grøtfjord

Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most amazing mountains, fjords, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.

Cozy home outside Tromsø, Sommarøya.

This is our own home on Sommarøya, which we rent out for short periods. The house is bright and practical, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fiber internet and nice outdoor areas. The location is quiet and close to nature, with a short distance to beaches, a store and great hiking opportunities. Perfect for guests who want to live like the locals and experience Sommarøya in an authentic way. You can find the bus routes on the Svipper app, and there is parking at the property.

You live 5 min from the airport and yet in nature. A few meters from the sea and a river running out into the sea here. Around the houses, you can discover shortages of various animals. Reindeer often comes by. Moose can come by a quick trip. Otherwise, otters and weights will run around the houses. In the sea, seals and rare dolphins swim. A superb place to observe the Northern Lights - and if it is windless, it mirrors in the sea as well. Tromsø city centre bus, approx. 15 min.

The cabin is located right next to Sommarøy Arctic Hotel which offers jacuzzi, sauna and restaurant. Two living rooms and two bathrooms. The cabin is very appealing, and very high standard. Magnificent views, two verandas with the sea as the closest neighbor. 50 meters from the beach. Bedroom with duvet, pillow and bed linen. All bathrooms with towels.

Cabin located right at the lakefront, quiet area without transiting traffic. This is the place where you can be by yourself in peace and quiet. Easy access with 30 meters from a busy road. Parking is available. 32 km from the airport. Several grocery stores on the way from the airport. Very good opportunities to see northern lights, ski tours, fishing trips, and more nearby tour operators (dog sledding, sea fishing, mountain tours)
