This is a guesthouse for rent, nestled in the quiet southern part of Yakushima and surrounded by nature. A small river flows before your eyes, and you can enjoy a special time surrounded by the forest and the starry sky. The biggest attractions are the open-air bath and the sauna. Listening to the babbling of the river, you can enjoy a unique experience in the forest that you can only get here. Let the greenery soothe you during the day, and at night, relax your mind and body under a sky full of stars. It's right next to the river, so you can swim or go straight from the open-air bath to the river.There is also a deck, which you can use for breakfast and coffee breaks. The neighbour's garden is diagonally opposite across the river, so it is not a completely private space.We recommend bringing your swimsuit. The sauna stove is a Japanese-made broos sauna.You can enjoy a high-temperature sauna. The accommodation fee includes all of the following. ・Open-air bath and sauna (please use by 10 pm) ・Sauna poncho & sauna hat ・ Towels (additional towels can also be provided) We will prepare futons for any additional guests from the third person onwards.Infants stay free of charge, but if you would like to rent a futon, we can provide one for 1,000 yen per day.

Entire cottage, Onuma Snapper Lock, private forest, glamping

Snapper Lock is a private cottage at the foot of Mt. Mocchomu in Onana, southern Yakushima. The nearest bus stop is a 6-minute walk. It is a quiet place surrounded by nature. The large living room of about 32 ㎡ can accommodate up to 5 people. (One is a sofa bed) The deck has an outdoor table and hammock, and a completely private forest spreads out. You can relax while taking a forest bath. Parking is also available for 2-3 vehicles. There is also a fire pit on the premises. The building was self-built by the owner. The building materials used are Japanese cedar and local cedar. The walls are plastered with lacquer, and the kitchen is made from recycled waste materials. We aim to be an inn that is friendly to both people and the environment, by not providing disposable amenities and keeping equipment to a minimum. There are insects and wild animals on Yakushima, so be careful to keep them out by closing the screens when you open the windows. Note: Several times a year, from 8 am to 9 am during the rainy season, large numbers of "feather ants" will appear on the island. They are attracted to lights, so we ask that you close the windows and turn off the lights in the room. Thank you for your understanding.

There are two bedrooms (two beds each) and two lodge-style bedrooms, two sets of futons each. In addition to the bathroom with a bathtub, there are two shower rooms. There are 3 washrooms and 2 toilets. On rainy days, there is also plenty of space to enjoy darts, putters, and more. It is convenient for consecutive nights, and it is fully equipped with washing machine and dryer, such as a washing machine, dryer, and other necessary appliances. On-site Rakuten Mobile radio tower and the wifi connection is the best. BBQ equipment can be used near the wooden deck, but it is charged (2,200 yen).

200 metres from Nagata beach. Private and fully self holiday contained house. 2 bedrooms with seperate bathroom and toilet. Full kitchen and clothes washing and drying machine. Holiday House Nagata is located in the western part of Yakushima Island, close to Inaka beach, the best sea turtle spawning beach in Japan, and you can walk to Maehama beach from home.The sunset view from the beach is beautiful, and there are Yokogawa Gorge, Yakushima Lighthouse, and Seibu Forest Road nearby.Since it is far from the trailhead, it is highly recommended to rent a car.If you only come to Jomon Cedar climbing, Nagata is far away, so please look at the map to consider it.The May-July 2021 Sea Turtle Watch was canceled due to COVID-19.Please note that you will not be able to get off the beach after 8pm.If you go to the beach at 5:00 in the morning, it is recommended because it is possible to meet sea turtles.

South Coast House is a traditional Japanese style home located on the very south coast of the island. It is very private, surrounded by nature with great sea and mountain views. Two natural outdoor hot spring Onsens - Harauchi and Yudomari are just a few minutes drive away. There is also some hiking, swimming and snorkelling spots close by. It is best to have a rental car as we are quite far from from the main towns, restaurants and most popular hiking trails. The South Coast House is a Japanese house built on a Japanese cedar in Yakushima.

This is an entire guest house that has just opened in March 2025.All the spacious grounds are private, so children can play in the garden with peace of mind.From the terrace, you can spend a relaxing time looking out at the sea.We have everything you need to stay in Yakushima, such as kitchen utensils and a BBQ stove, so I think you will be satisfied.It is also a 10-minute drive to the popular Kaichi Onsen, and a large supermarket where you can buy ingredients, so it is a very convenient place.

Miyanoura Port Convenience: Riverside Entire home

We chose our accommodation's location carefully to make it as convenient as possible. Yakushima is quite remote and doesn't have many transportation options. Yakushima is relatively large, covering about 100 kilometers. There are restaurants and supermarkets scattered around, but it can be challenging to find rental cars or taxis. →You can walk to popular restaurants in just 3 minutes, so you can have a great meal and easily return. Additionally, a supermarket is only a 7-minute walk away.

Fisherman's living experience inn: Fuku no Ki

Yakushima is famous for mountains, but the sea, fish are also attractive. This inn is a bit inconvenient, but we treat you like family. And you can eat delicious fresh fish. The building is a converted fisherman's barn. We will cook fish together, heat Goemon bath with firewood, and provide you with a stay as if you were living with us. One cooking experience is included during your stay. On other days, you will stay without meals. Optional fishing boat tour (extra charge) is also available.

This location is very quiet & secret place for vacation home. There is a small Tatami room like a tea celemony room that you can use as yoga, meditation etc. for your private time. However, no kitchen facility. We provide an electric pot,cups,small dishies, refrigerater, microwave and oven grills toaster, so you can bring some food etc. There is sea and forest view from the guest cottage. Cottage is made in Japanese style with aromatic local cedar wood , open beams, and Shoji screens.
