Listening to the babbling of the river, you can enjoy a unique experience in the forest that you can only get here. Let the greenery soothe you during the day, and at night, relax your mind and body under a sky full of stars. It's right next to the river, so you can swim or go straight from the open-air bath to the river.There is also a deck, which you can use for breakfast and coffee breaks. The neighbour's garden is diagonally opposite across the river, so it is not a completely private space.We recommend bringing your swimsuit. The sauna stove is a Japanese-made broos sauna.You can enjoy a high-temperature sauna. We have another beautiful self contained house nearby which caters for up to 6 people. Have a look “South Coast House “ It is a Japanese house near the popular sightseeing spot "Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen" in the southern part of Yakushima.It is within walking distance with Yudomari Onsen.We recommend renting a car because it is far from the popular mountain climbing course.

South Coast House is a traditional Japanese style home located on the very south coast of the island. It is very private, surrounded by nature with great sea and mountain views. Two natural outdoor hot spring Onsens - Harauchi and Yudomari are just a few minutes drive away. There is also some hiking, swimming and snorkelling spots close by. It is best to have a rental car as we are quite far from from the main towns, restaurants and most popular hiking trails. The South Coast House is a Japanese house built on a Japanese cedar in Yakushima.

Miyanoura Port Convenience: Riverside Entire home

We chose our accommodation's location carefully to make it as convenient as possible. Yakushima is quite remote and doesn't have many transportation options. Yakushima is relatively large, covering about 100 kilometers. There are restaurants and supermarkets scattered around, but it can be challenging to find rental cars or taxis. →You can walk to popular restaurants in just 3 minutes, so you can have a great meal and easily return. Additionally, a supermarket is only a 7-minute walk away.

Fisherman's living experience inn: Fuku no Ki

Yakushima is famous for mountains, but the sea, fish are also attractive. This inn is a bit inconvenient, but we treat you like family. And you can eat delicious fresh fish. The building is a converted fisherman's barn. We will cook fish together, heat Goemon bath with firewood, and provide you with a stay as if you were living with us. One cooking experience is included during your stay. On other days, you will stay without meals. Optional fishing boat tour (extra charge) is also available.

Marvelous ocean view Cottage

Our cottage is located on the hill looking over the Yakushiam's sea. You can see the marvelous ocean view and mountains. Its floor, wall, and ceiling are made with cedar plates. Inside the cottages are large cedar beams and the rooms are filled with the fragrance of the timber. The cottage is equipped with a unit bathroom, private balcony, a mini kitchen with an cooking heater and a small refrigerator, and some cookware and tableware, which can be freely used by the guest.
