It's nice to talk to someone, or to spend time alone. I hope this place is a place where you can take a little distance from your daily life and check your own outline. The name "Ootan" we wanted to create an inn where you can encounter landscapes, air, people, words, and stories you have never encountered before. A little story will surely be born in this space where you spend your time.

I have lived in Iga Ueno for a few years. Growing up in a residential area, living in a castle town was a new experience for me. This land with its old-fashioned townscape and famous water is hot in summer and cold in winter. But that's why the rice, vegetables, and meat are also delicious. There are many areas where nature remains, but few areas where the old townscape remains intact. I want to preserve this townscape. To that end, I want many people to experience a nostalgic way of life and culture. As such a place, we renovated a row house left by our ancestors and opened it as the Daiji, a soy sauce shop that had closed. You are always welcome!
