Cottage on the beach

The cottage is right on the shore. It is self contained with a kitchen area and small bathroom. The twin beds, on a mezzanine floor, can be hooked up to make a super king-sized bed. Guests will have access to the beach and a garden area. Parking is on site. Although there is no washing machine, I can wash clothes for guests in my house which is next door. I live next door and will interact with guests as much or as little as they wish. I am usually at home, but if I am travelling I will arrange for a neighbour to keep contact with my guests. Coney Island is between Ardglass and Killough. There are shops and restaurants in both. It is under an hour from Belfast and within sight of the Mourne Mountains and Newcastle. Ardglass has a golf course and there are lots of opportunities locally for walking, fishing and watersports. Public transport is limited, but possible. There is a bus from Dublin airport with a connection to Downpatrick. There is a bus from both Belfast airports with connections to Downpatrick, about six miles from Coney Island. If I am home I will pick up guests from Downpatrick. Taxi fare is around £10. The upper floor is accessible to able bodied adults and children, but would present problems to anyone with mobility problems. (See Pic)

Beautiful new build property five minute walk from the sea. Set in tranquil surroundings with local amenities within walking distance, including shop, off license, pubs and the beach. On the opposite side of the bay from Coney Island, and a short drive to Newcastle. A truly beautiful part of the world with the balance of secluded respite and good eateries and activities. We have put our heart and soul into this property and hope it is treated with the same respect and love that we have for it.

Croob View Black Hut

Enjoy the setting of this romantic spot on a working sheep and cattle farm in the Dromara Hills, nestled in nature. Between Castlewellan and Dromara, 15min drive to Newcastle, 25min from Belfast. A couples retreat with a new electric hot tub in the middle of a mountain, sheep as the only possible disturbance. Guests are welcome to meet and greet our animals at the gate up to the hut. Honey the Falabella horse, 5 pygmy goat and our Free range hens, who give our guests eggs in our welcome pack.

A great base for enjoying nature, the mountains, golf, sailing, beach walks and sea swims.
