This accommodation is a renovated traditional house. Spend a quiet and relaxing time with the changing of the four seasons. Also open as a cafe during the day. Entire unit rental. About 2.5 hours by car to Shirakawago, Gifu Prefecture. Gokayama as well. From June to early November, it is easily accessible via the Hakusan White Road. A simple yet rich rural life that has continued since the Edo period!

Spend a relaxing time with friends around the Irori fireplace. You can enjoy the Goemon bath, kamado, and old-fashioned slow life while feeling the season with the wind and sky patterns (there is a cassette stove, IH heater, and shower). You can also cook with a wood stove and BBQ outdoors. 　10 minutes by car from Izumo City Station. Izumo Taisha is 25 minutes away. There is also a hot spring nearby. The 20 tatami mat Japanese-style room is a private bedroom, and the kitchen and toilet are shared. There is a design office in the warehouse, and I work from 8:30 am to 6 pm on weekdays. You can also use the thatched cottage with a good view. 　There is also air conditioning, but in the summer, if you open the veranda and hang a mosquito net, the summer night breeze will invite you to sleep comfortably. From spring to autumn, you can hear the nostalgic sounds of frogs, cicadas, and bell crickets. 　If you are unfamiliar with charcoal or fire, I can help you if the timing is right. Firewood is free, but please bring your own BBQ charcoal if you use the sunken hearth. It is 1.6 km to the supermarket and 5 km to Izumo Station. It feels good to walk or jog along the Tanabe-michi Road and Kawato-te in the early morning. Please keep pets on the dirt floor. In July and August, please pick blueberries from the garden.

Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish, a Nordic language. Enjoy your time in a special space away from everyday life. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, blessed with forests, lakes and snow in northern Nagano Prefecture. Nearby, there are many natural sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Highlands, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. A building from the development era, it has been stylishly renovated using plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, hinoki cypress, and plaster. We also focused on the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the winter, when it is completely covered in snow, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the snow-covered landscape. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Hirauchi Hot Spot 2 bedroom Japanese style house

Hirauchi Hot Spot is a traditional Japanese style house located in the south of the island. It is easy to find on the main road next to a bus stop. It has great sea and mountain views and is surrounded by nature. Two famous open air onsens - Hirauchi and Yudomari are just a few minutes walk away. We have another beautiful self contained house nearby which caters for up to 6 people. Have a look “South Coast House “ 屋久島の南部にある人気の観光スポット「平内海中温泉」が近い日本家屋です。湯泊温泉と共に徒歩圏内です。人気の登山コースからは遠いのでレンタカーをお勧めします。

If you are trying to find a place where you can relax...here is it! "Atami Ocean Log" has opened recently though has been received a lot of great reviews!! Here is where you will be able to get relaxed the entire time. You need to walk up stairs but I am sure it is worth it...you will see the great ocean view up there! Also natural hot springs are available in the traditional wooden-styled bathtub. I am sure you will love all aspects of this stylish log-house. Please enjoy your trip here :-)

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts.
