Join me for a flavorful journey into the world of Greek beekeeping and gastronomy. I’ll share the rich history of Greek beekeeping, a tradition my family has upheld since 1935, brought to life with artifacts and stories from our heritage. • We’ll start with a honey and olive oil tasting at my family’s Melira shop, sampling eight rare monovarietal honeys like carob, heather, and thyme and olive oil from our olive groves . I’ll share stories about how we relocate beehives to areas with specific flowers and plants, and you’ll enjoy cutting and tasting fresh honeycomb . • Next, we’ll visit a nearby spot to try handmade loukoumades (Greek donuts) topped with monovarietal honeys, praline, and traditional spoon sweets like black cherry and grape. At another cozy location, you’ll savor Greek yogurt paired with different honeys, discovering how each enhances the yogurt’s creamy richness. • We’ll finish back at the shop, where I’ll answer your questions, share tips, and help you find your favorite flavors. You’ll leave with a small jar of honey, handmade soap, and sweet memories, along with a deeper appreciation for Greece’s culinary traditions.

Our team Julia, Douk and Dimitris, three enthusiastic foodies, will guide through a gastronomical experience! Taste the most local food in Athens. Skip the tourist traps and discover the local bites of the Greek culture. More than 16 traditional, delicious, freshly cooked tastings. We will be walking in the heart of Athens, where Athenians shop for the daily meal. We will introduce you to the vendors of our favorite local shops, share traditional breakfast delicacies, smell and learn about herbs and spices, visit a deli shop to taste the original honey glazed yoghurt and take you to the magical world of olives. Also, one of the best Greek traditional restaurants (mageirio) will be accommodating you for a seated lunch and of course, dessert. During the walk, you'll meet our old friends in the oldest vegetable, fish and meat market of Athens and you'll also try our best wines and distillates of the region. Get the chance to know how to cook all the dishes you will try, and get local insight into recipes, tips for Athens, the islands and the culinary traditions. Create silver jewelry

Think of your own idea and we will create it together, we can make either a ring, necklace, bracelet, pair of earrings or a small piece of art. We can even add a stone and do stonesetting. Your idea/design should have the size of about 3x3cm or 1,180x 1,180 inch , weighting approx. 4.5 gram. If you wish to have a heavier piece I can advice you and negotiate it at the workshop (an extra gram equals to 1euro). Except of silver we can also use bronze and cooper, as these metals add colour to some particular ideas. Try to keep your idea simple and in 2 dimensions, so we can accomplish it in about 3 hours. If you are not so sure about what to create, you can choose any of my designs, or I can advice you. At first we will make a sketch and after we will transfer the design on the metal and cut it out with the saw. Then we will smoothen up the metal's surface with emery paper and at last we will polish it to shine it up. The piece is yours and you can call it "My Athenian keepsake" or "My unforgettable time in Athens". Making your own keepsake will give you the chance to learn in real the technical steps of it's creation.
