Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Bellingham is only 2 miles away by car with a Co-op , pubs, Chinese take out to name but a few ammenities .

A one bed roomed but spacious bungalow, converted from a farm building. Set amongst beautiful Northumberland countryside. The coast is about 30 minutes away, plenty of National trust buildings and interesting gardens within an hour including Alnwick Castle & gardens (Harry Potter/Downton Abbey film location), Cragside, Wallington etc Well and comfortably furnished. Wifi. A good place for couples and solo adventurers. Matfen hall and Vallum 5 miles or so away if you are coming to a wedding

WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

There is one double bedroom with 1 king size bed and bathroom on the upper level. Downstairs is the open plan lounge and kitchen with breakfast bar. Local attractions include The Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder Reservoir, Alnwick Castle and many National Trust Properties. Nearby are the towns of Morpeth, Hexham and Corbridge.

Beautiful local walks, evenings in front of a roaring wood burner, thousands of stars to admire in our dark skies village, and the Queen's Head Inn just a short stroll down the hill...this is the perfect place to be :)

A converted water mill in a quiet rural location with wonderful views. This unique property has a spacious living/dinning area with a high vaulted ceiling and large log burner. Within walking distance of Hadrian’s Wall, St. Oswalds Way and Great Whittington village (with pub). A short drive away are golf courses, market towns, amazing restaurants and a little further away are the beach, Northumberland National Park, Newcastle city centre and plenty more attractions.

Beaufront Hill Head

Built in 1780, this thick -walled cosy cottage has historic charm with modern comforts. South facing with stone walled garden, from which you can survey a spectacular view 20 miles deep and 35 miles wide over the Tyne valley. The cottage is at 700 feet above sea level and you feel you are on the roof of England. It is situated in a quiet rural location 2 miles from both Hexham and Corbridge and half an hour from Newcastle.
