We are a family owned and managed Bed & Breakfast Hotel located in the expatriate suburb of Gigiri in Nairobi.
We are a family of 4 - an oldie (but goldie ;) ) couple who love to stop by and share some local tips with our guests, our brilliant entreprenerial daughter who manages the running of the business and her civil engineer fiancé, who structured the premises!
The concept was born as a solution to provide functional yet affordable accommodation that hadn't previously existed in an area that is a hot spot for NGO activities.
We see this as our attempt to challenge the perception that 'Travelling in Africa is expensive" and that "In Africa, affordable translates to a hole in the wall".
Not true at Gigiri Express!
We have set out to create a humble abode with emphasis on a non-fuss friendly approachable service, for price savvy travellers who do not want to compromise on quality.
