Urtehage, blomstereng og en liten gressplen skaper en idyllisk atmosfære. Hytten ligger ca 100 m over havet, med turmuligheter direkte til Bø-heia like ved, samt spektakulære turmuligheter en kort biltur unna. Bygden Leirvik har et lite tettsted, ca 2,5 km fra hytten, med en matbutikk og hotell, samt et skipsverft nede ved fjorden.
