During your stay I highly recommend the Papaaloa Country Store and Restaurant just down the road. They have great pizza and fresh locally grown foods and local style menu. Located seven minutes from Volcanoes National Park, this Cedar A-frame is nestled in the Hawaiian rainforest. This is a great base for exploring the waterfalls and beautiful beaches on the East side of the Big Island. At 4,000 foot elevation you will enjoy the cooler weather. The floor to ceiling window provides a lovely connection to nature. No cleaning fee or service charges.
