Pure Japanese style traditional House Entire house

This is one of the few remaining pure Japanese-style shoin-zukuri buildings in Hiroshima City, built 75 years ago, shortly after the war.Just a stone's throw from the main street, in a quiet setting, this small but charming property features a Japanese-style garden where you can relax and unwind. Some of the items on display at the Dance House, such as a vase partially melted by the heat from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on 6 August 1945 and photographs from around 100 years ago, are only kept there. The fittings and glass date back over 70 years to that era, and the two gardens, the hearth, and the study, in particular, capture the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese home. At present, these items can only be obtained by placing an order with a select group of craftspeople. Of the five rooms, three are tatami-mat rooms; please sleep on the tatami mats with your futon on top at bedtime. Located in Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, and accessible by a single tram ride within the city. From the nearest tram stop ①, it takes about 20 minutes to get to Hiroshima Station. From the nearest tram stop (②), you can reach the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome, as well as the city centre, in around 20–30 minutes. The taxi journey takes around 10 minutes. You'll find everything you need for daily living right in the neighbourhood at the large Youme Town Hiroshima shopping centre. Convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart), eateries (okonomiyaki, ramen, sushi, yakiniku, waffles, bakery, etc.), and more are all within walking distance.

Kominka in Miyajima that warms the heart

Guest House Kokoro is located one block from Miyajima's Machiya-dori Street. 　When you pass through the warm curtain at the entrance, you are guided to the courtyard by stepping stones, with bamboo walls reminiscent of a Kyoto row house restaurant. The courtyard is also beautifully balanced with white marble and gravel, contributing to the calm atmosphere. There are glass doors in the living room that allow you to see the courtyard. 　The building is only for guests to stay in through the garden, so there is no need to worry about anyone. From the outside, it is an ordinary private house, but when you step inside, it has a different atmosphere, which is part of the charm of the inn. I heard that the previous owner has always loved gardening and had a wide range of hobbies. However, as I mentioned at the beginning, I didn't intend to start an inn at first, so there is no bath facility (there is a shower). However, you can use the nearby inns as an outdoor bath. The first floor is a living room, and the second floor is a two-room Japanese-style bedroom, and up to 6 people can stay comfortably. 　In the courtyard, there is a white stone character "kokoro" (heart) inscribed in the gravel. It was made by the gardener a long time ago for fun, and it is the origin of the name of the inn. He said he wants to welcome people with all his heart and help them relax and enjoy their stay.

I created this accommodation because I wish there was a place like this. ☆This is not a hotel. We want you to think about how you want to spend your time. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee on the large wooden deck. In the cold winter, warm up with a wood stove, and make and eat a delicious meal yourself. Play your favorite music, and read surrounded by books lining the walls. Take a walk to Gero Station while catching a glimpse of life in Gero. Fishing at sea, picking azaleas, bamboo shoots, and wild potatoes in the mountains, and eating them yourself. Long stays are recommended. Based at Shimonada Cabin, it is about an hour's drive to Matsuyama City. 2.5 hours to Shimanto River. 3 hours to Shikoku Karst. Shopping can be done in Iyo City or Nagahama Town, or you can buy from local fishmongers and greengrocers and cook for yourself. Of course, you can also eat at a nearby restaurant if you book. Anyway, I want you to relax at Shimonada Cabin. One night is too wasteful. I recommend at least 2 days. It is a place that can be enjoyed in good weather or bad.

We rent out the entire old house + separate building in the Seto Inland Sea. Just off of National Route 188. It is a 10-second walk to the sea. The windows of the separate room overlook the sea. It is a house where a fisherman and his wife used to live. The facility itself is old and not large, but it feels like a hideaway by the sea. Relax in this quiet accommodation. * Contactless check-in * ・ You will be given a key in the key box ・ Check-in on an iPad after entering the room That's it. * For guests with children * If you don't need bedding, towels, or consumables ・ Free for children 12 years old and younger We will make sure you are. Also, there is an outdoor space (sea side) where children can play, but on the other hand, there are some steps in the room due to the old private house, so please be careful not to get injured when using it. There are two spacious bedrooms and a dining space in a large Japanese-style room. You can enjoy the Japanese countryside comfortably and at your own pace. We can also accommodate Japanese, English, and French. Please let me know if you would like to know more about the charm of Tsuwano and sightseeing. On the days when the host's cafe is open, you can also interact with other customers and enjoy tea and sweets.
