Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes, which is located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper's House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we work to make the house as authentic as possible, including by wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper's house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is wall to wall with the brewery that has a renovated bakery oven.

The apartment is close to the sea, access to public dock on the other side of the road. Hidra is an island with great scenery, beautiful cultural landscape, and many hiking opportunities. Short distance to Flekkefjord, 25 minutes by car/ferry. Flekkefjord is best known for Hollenderbyen and rail cycling. Hike to the potholes at Brufjellhålene 40 minutes by car/ferry.

This is our own family cabin that we use as often as we can, but which we are happy to share with others when we are not there ourselves. Modern apartment with separate entrance downstairs on a new house. The apartment contains living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, as well as patio with nice sea views. You come to made beds and towels are included. In the fridge you will find some breakfast food that you can arrange when appropriate. The bedroom has a double bed, which can easily be converted into two single beds.
