Reviews for services and experiences

Our community relies on honest, transparent reviews to help hosts improve and let future guests know what to expect. Guests can use reviews to share feedback about the service or experience they booked. Hosts can use reviews to learn about what’s going well, and what they can improve.

Guests: leaving a review for a service or experience

The guest that has booked and paid for the reservation on Airbnb and any guests that have accepted their invitation to the reservation can each leave their own review.

Guests have 14 days after the service or experience ends to leave a review. Guests can still write reviews even if they show up late, or if they leave early. Guests typically will not be able to leave a review for a canceled reservation, but in the event that this happens, Airbnb may remove it in accordance with our Reviews Policy.

Reviews are published as soon as they’re submitted. Once published, you can’t edit your review.

Hosts: responding to a review of your service or experience

Service hosts and experience hosts can’t leave reviews for guests. However, you can post a public response to a review you’ve received. Feel free to respond with more context or provide your own perspective, so long as you also follow our Reviews Policy. The Reviews Policy speaks to situations where a review may be removed because the guest never arrived, or canceled for a reason unrelated to the service/experience.

While you can’t remove a review because you disagree with it, you can make a review removal request if you think it violates our Reviews Policy.

Ratings for services and experiences

When guests leave a review for a service or experience, they’ll choose an overall rating (1 to 5) and answer a few questions. These ratings work a little differently from the star ratings for homes. Check out ratings for services and experiences for more info.

Services details

You can find information about the specific service the reviewer booked in their review, for example “gourmet dinner” or “tasting menu.”

Note: This information is based on the specific service you booked. To hide your information, opt out of review highlights.
