How long a Host has to respond to your enquiry
An inquiry is what guests can send to a Host before they request to book—it’s usually a message from a guest wanting more info about staying at the Host’s place for certain dates.

When a Host will respond to a guest’s inquiry
Most Hosts respond within a few hours, but time zones and lack of internet access might slow things down.
We recommend that Hosts respond to guests within 24 hours, but keep in mind that inquiries don’t expire—you may find that it takes a Host a bit longer to get back to you.
If the Host hasn’t yet responded
If you're waiting for a response, you can try reaching out to other Hosts in the area. You can also send the Host another message asking for a response as soon as possible because you're interested in booking a place right away.

Note: The response rate and time are averages based on when the Host has responded to enquiries and reservation requests over a recent period of time. It can help give you an indication of how quickly a Host responds, but it’s not a guarantee.
