Paying for your trip
When are you charged for a reservation? What do you do if you can’t complete your transaction? Let’s break down the financials and get answers to these important questions.
Payment methods and plans
You just made a reservation—congrats! So, what happens next? We support different payment methods. It just depends on the country your payment account is located in and the currency you’re paying in.
Your payment method will be charged as soon as your reservation is confirmed (excluding any security deposits). Find more about when you’ll pay for a reservation.
If you need to split up your payment, you can as long as your stay is eligible and there’s a payment plan option at checkout. Find more information about payment methods and payments over time.
Pricing and fees charged by Airbnb and Hosts
Airbnb charges service fees when bookings are confirmed. Remember, no matter which payment you use or when you pay, always keep transactions on Airbnb (unless the Host’s listing mentions certain additional fees). Find more about pricing, fees, and taxes here.
