Furso is a traditional langhouse, used as a family home since at least the 17th century. It was used as a family home until the 60s and as a summer retreat until the late 80s-despite not having electricity or mains water until the 90s. It has been used as a holiday let since 2001 when it was sympathetically renovated. Parking is available right outside, but if you visit without a car, regular buses from Stromness go to all areas of Orkney.
