Some info has been automatically translated.
Lovingly decorated double room in peaceful locale with free on-street parking + 2 X buses (19 & 24) to/from Dublin airport.

Here's what we offer:

A double bedroom; shared bathroom; dining room with table & chairs; separate living room with sofa & TV; kitchen for preparing light meals. A light breakfast is included in the price.

*From December 2026, a reduced rate applies for *ROOM ONLY*. This is due to our increased work commitments outside the home so we cannot supply/make breakfast*

The space
Our house is suburban and quiet, tucked away from the noise & bustle, but easily accessible to the city centre by public transport in 25 minutes (bus routes E1/E2/19/24). Buses are a 5 minute-9 minute walk away. Please note: the house is approximately halfway between Dublin Airport and the city centre (6km to both). It's also close to Dublin City University (DCU), National Botanic Gardens and the iconic John Kavanagh's/The Gravediggers pub (24 bus). Also on direct bus routes to Croke Park (19), 3Arena (N4) and Aviva Stadium (E1/E2).

The #airbnb double bedroom is spacious, with a work desk & chair, standard 4ft6 double bed (200cm X 140cm), dressing chair, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, large mirror, lock on door.

The bathroom is shared (with two of us) but we stay out of your way as much as possible to give you privacy. Towels, cotton bedding and toiletries are provided during your stay.

**CHECK-IN IS from 2PM to 10pm only (time is needed between guests to clean and prepare the space). If you're arriving on an early flight, we may be able to accommodate an early check-in provided we have no guests staying the day before, or you can drop your luggage off. Otherwise 2pm is the earliest we can welcome you. We cannot offer late check-in beyond 10pm due to our own work commitments the next day/we need to sleep!**

Guest access
Guests are given house keys on arrival; the Airbnb bedroom has a lock. You're welcome to use the dining room to eat and relax in as there's a large table with six chairs, two armchairs with reading lamps, board games, wine glasses, etc. Same for living room when free. The kitchen can be used to make tea & coffee, light meals (microwave, fridge, hob).

During your stay
You will be the only guests staying here, along with us (we live in the house). We keep to ourselves as we work from home most of the time, but also have work commitments outside the home. It helps to plan what you want to do in Dublin before you arrive, though we always answer messages quickly on the app. We look forward to welcoming you to Dublin!

Where you’ll be

Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland

There's a bar one street from the house and serves decent food, including a daily carvery from 12pm - 3pm and a La Carte from 4-9pm. The Tram Café in Albert College Park is located in period stables and serves nice cakes, sandwiches, and ice creams (and on Friday evenings, there's homemade pizza and live jazz). Insomnia Coffee, Le Petite Café & Andersons Bistro also nearby. The Botanic is home to Kennedy's Wholefood, open 9-4 Mon-Fri, 10am-4.30pm, Sat/Sun. Great brunches, small plates, sandwiches, cakes, organic teas & coffee. Glasnevin Cemetery, and the historic Gravediggers pub are next to the gardens, with its delectable Irish tapas menu (Tue-Sat 12-8pm): my No. 1 recommendation!) are a few minutes away by car or bus. Phibsborough is also buzzing with pubs, eateries, and the newly-opened gig venue *The Racket* at The George Bernard Shaw. Also worth a visit: The Phoenix Park, as well as being home to Dublin Zoo, it's fab for a long stroll or a drive-thru to see the resident deer 🦌
